About Detox Diets

What is a Detox Diet? It defined as removing poisons and toxic from the body. You can detox your body by eating pure and natural foods which will aid the function of your organs such as liver, lymph and kidneys. Of course you should avoid eating all the foods that will intoxicate your body.

The Detox Dieting is far more controversial. Most of the "medical science" books see it as a fiction which means it is rarely true. It is rare because if you want to detoxify your body, you should follow the severe restrictions of the diet and have it with a great care. What is your opinion about this? Do you think its fictional to detoxify your body?

Fruits and vegetable juice form the basis for detox diet. It has high fiber content, water, vitamins, minerals,low glycemic index carbohydrates and antioxidants, which helps dissolve the toxins and improve body function and increase the overall energy levels.

Lemon detox diet is effective both for detoxifying and reducing body weight. Take lemon juice in a glass of hot water in the morning. Morning is the time when our bodies are in a natural cleansing phase, so it is a good time to consume detoxifying foods and juices.

There is research on which foods and nutrients support the detox pathways of the liver.
It's fact not fiction. The doctors and scientists who say that special detox diets are not necessary because the body detoxifies on its own have not really studied the research.

There are tests that look at liver detox function and people who have problems have been helped by diets that exclude toxins and include specific foods and nutrients that are know to be needed for certain pathways to work.

If the body did detoxify well then we would not all have many chemicals stored on our bodies. It has been shown that detox diets do work to lower these toxins.

I recovered from chronic fatigue with intensive detox using foods and juices. I know it works.

I do agree with Sandy that it's not fiction. Our body can detox itself but with the amount of pollutant and toxins that we ingest everyday are more than what our body can discard each and every single day, the toxins will just accumulate and cause havoc to your system.

These detox diets are designed such that the ingredients used do not contribute to the toxin buildup and also helps in the detoxification process.

I mean, you don't need research to understand that by stopping the intake of toxins, you are actually giving your body time to get rid of the mess inside the body and by taking foods that help the body, you are accelerating the natural detoxification process.

Like Sandy, I used to have bloated stomach, low energy and a whole lot more symptoms that would put Chernobyl to shame and because of detoxification, I've become a lot healthier, more energetic and have a better outlook on life! So, you can ask the researchers that said it's fiction to come kiss my a$$. :)
